Meet our Head of Operations & Chief Flight Instructor
Our highly experienced CASA Grade 1 flight instructor Pete has over 15 years of flight instructional experience. Having gained his CPL and Instructor Rating through civilian flight schools, Pete was then accepted to undertake the RAAF flight training pathway. Pete was a fast jet pilot on the F/A-18F Super Hornet for 9 years, culminating as an exchange instructor with the US Navy.
Based at Shellharbour Airport in NSW, Illawarra Flight Services offers expert flight training in a friendly, accessible setting. Only an hour drive south of Sydney, Illawarra Flight Services offers an excellent training base for your flight instruction. With the training area only a 3 minute flight from the airport, your instruction with Illawarra Flight Services will ensure you get maximum instructional time whilst airborne.
